We are delighted to share with you our 2020 Colour of the Year, First Light 2102-10, alongside our versatile Colour Trends palette of 9 beautiful shades that vary from dark and mysterious to soft and playful, and can be combined to create timeless colour pairings that will enliven your home.
"We selected First Light 2102-70 as our Colour of the Year 2020 to represent a new dawn of idealism, design and living. First Light 2102-70 reflects a new definition of the home - a shift in mind set from the material to satisfying the core needs in life: community, comfort, security, self expression, authenticity and ultimately, optimism." says Andrea Magno, Director of Colour Marketing and Development at Benjamin Moore.
A delicate, rosy hue blooming with potential, Benjamin Moore's Colour of the Year 2020, First Light 2102-70, was chosen to reflect the air of positivity radiated by consumers upon entering a new decade. A refreshing alternative to other warm neutrals such as cream or beige, this delicate, airy pink is soft enough to flatter a multitude of looks, but bright enough to add a burst of joy into a room, evoking a new decade blooming with potential.
"Over the last few seasons, we have gradually seen neutrals with pink and red undertones taking over from our traditionally cooler grey neutrals, so the selection of First Light 2102-70 as our Colour of the Year takes this evolving trend a step further. Its a soft, dusky rose tone that flatters any space and reflects the desire to use blush tones in grown-up spaces as well as a trend towards using more colour overall in our living environments." says Helen Shaw, Marketing Director at Benjamin Moore UK.
